FAQs

Show Availability:

Please let RemX staff know this when you complete your information form. Naturally the more shifts you do, the more on-the-job knowledge you gain, so we love it when you can work for more than one day. People who can work more than one day will be given priority.

 

Crew Expectations:

As a paid Crew member, you are responsible for your own transportation, accommodation, and food during the show. You’ll receive a DALLAS FAN DAYS show shirt – please let us know your size when you apply. If your shift ends early the day you are scheduled, then you can attend the con for the remainder of that day.

 

Can I work in a specific area at the show?

As a paid Crew member, we will try to place you where you’ve got prior experience – be sure to tell RemX staff if you’ve worked in a certain area before. However, in this paid role we may need to move Crew members around to different areas of the show based on where it’s busy or slower. We require flexibility in this regard. No one on Crew “owns” a certain position or placement at the show.

 

Finances:

If your financial situation doesn’t allow you to participate in paid employment, then please connect with RemX staff to discuss your specific situation.

 

Paperwork:

RemX staff will work with you to complete various forms ahead of time to ensure your check-in on show days are quick and easy. If you have not been a Crew member for FAN EXPO Dallas or DALLAS FAN DAYS in the past, RemX may request a phone interview with you.


NEXT STEPS

  1. Visit RemX Staff's Website to fill out their online information form. If you’ve been a Crew member for FAN EXPO Dallas or DALLAS FAN DAYS in the past, then be sure to let RemX know what role you did previously.

  2. RemX staff will be responsible for communicating with all Crew members. They’ll confirm they’ve received your info, and then you can expect to hear from them approximately 1 week after you apply to advise if your application has been approved. Finally, you’ll get your specific shift assignments (days, times) no later than 7 days out from the show.

  3. We are not having a sit-down general orientation the night before the show. You will be sent written info in advance of the show. When you arrive at the show, you’ll check in with the RemX Supervisors at Crew HQ to receive instructions that are specific to your assignment at the show.
